Truth Speak

Turn up the voltage
and burn out the light bulbs.
Step off the pedestal
and conform to nothing.

Swim against the current
and jump the shark or play
with it for a while and
write with the blood you shed.

Out of disorder
and rebellion a flash
of happiness can spring
forth, like electric dreams.

The butterflies in your
stomach will fly out of
your mouth and your heart
will be free to speak truth.
